Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Vault Therapist you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the software.

License & Permitted Use

Vault Therapist is licensed under BUSL-1.1. You may use it free of charge for non-production purposes including personal experimentation, learning, and local testing. Production use — including commercial deployments, client work, or any use generating revenue — requires a commercial license.

The source code will convert to Apache 2.0 on April 15, 2030. Until then, the BUSL-1.1 terms apply.

Trial & Payment

Free Trial: A 3-day free trial is available. No credit card required. You can access all features during the trial period.

Licensing: After the trial, a lifetime license is available for $15 USD as a one-time purchase via Lemon Squeezy. This license covers unlimited vaults on unlimited devices.

Refunds: A 14-day refund policy applies. To request a refund, contact support@vaulttherapist.com from your purchase email and refunds are processed promptly. No questions asked.

AI Provider Responsibility

You are responsible for your own API keys and for complying with your chosen AI provider's terms of service. Supported providers include:

  • Ollama — runs entirely locally
  • LM Studio — runs entirely locally
  • OpenAI — subject to OpenAI's terms and privacy policy
  • Anthropic — subject to Anthropic's terms and privacy policy
  • Gemini — subject to Google's terms and privacy policy
  • OpenRouter — subject to OpenRouter's terms and privacy policy

Vault Therapist does not control how these providers handle your data. Review their policies to understand their data practices.

Data & Privacy

Vault Therapist does not collect, store, or transmit your note content. The only data sent to our servers is your license key and basic activation metadata for license validation.

No Warranty

Vault Therapist is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI analyses including:

  • Orphan Finder
  • Contradiction Detector
  • Knowledge Gap Finder
  • Insight Reports

AI outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or misleading information. You assume full responsibility for reviewing and acting on any AI-generated content.

Limitation of Liability

Vault Therapist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to data loss, incorrect AI analysis results, or issues arising from third-party AI providers.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the license ($15 USD).

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Vault Therapist after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If material changes are made, we will notify you via the plugin or our website.
